JCPenney
In 2009, the JCPenney After school Fund provided Club membership grants totaling $1.5 million for more than 4,300 young people in 151 Boys & Girls Club organizations. In addition, the company's quarterly round-up campaign raised more than $2.1 million in financial support for 475 Clubs matched with local JCPenney stores across the country. Our Club receives funds annually from the Round Up campaign.

Staples
In 1986, Staples invented the office superstore concept. Today, they are the world's largest office products company with $24 billion in sales in 2009. We work with their San Leandro and San Ramon stores annually to distribute donated office supplies to our sites.

Wayne and Gladys Valley Foundation
The Wayne and Gladys Valley Foundation was formed in 1977 by F. Wayne Valley and his wife, Gladys Valley, to provide financial assistance for various charitable organizations of particular interest to them, principally in the East Bay. Gladys Valley was President of the then Boys Club of San Leandro in the 1950's. The Valley Foundation has partnered with us for many years and is currently supporting our language arts and math intervention program.

BASHOF Youth
Founded in 1979, the BASHOF Youth Fund has given more than 3 million dollars to over 500 youth organizations in the Bay Area. The Youth Fund distributes sports-equipment grants to qualified 501(c)(3) youth organizations in the eleven Bay Area counties: BASHOF has provided us sports equipment for many years.

Eden Area Foundation
In 1999, Eden United Church of Christ in Hayward created the Eden Area Foundation and transferred a substantial portion of the bequest to the Foundation. The Foundation maintains a permanent endowment of charitable funds. They provide a grant to help our ASES after school program.

Eden Township Healthcare District
The Eden Township Healthcare District was established in 1948 to build and operate Eden Hospital, a community hospital to serve residents of Castro Valley, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Hayward and nearby communities. The District operated Eden until 1998, when Eden Medical Center became an affiliate of Sutter Health. The District's Foundation has partnered with us for many years to combat childhood obesity.

Rotary Club

April Showers
April Showers is the outreach program of the Interfaith Homelessness Network of San Leandro. Ten faith communities provide the supervision, food, supplies, and clothing for the guests. The Showers are held the first, third, and fifth Sunday of each month at the Boys and Girls Club of San Leandro, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

San Leandro Unified School District
The San Leandro School District consists of 12 schools serving approximately 8,800 students in grades K-12. We have a contract with SLUSD to run their state after school program (ASES) in 6 elementary schools and 2 middle schools.

The San Lorenzo Unified School District consists of 18 school serving approximately 12,000 students in grades K-12. We have a contract with SLZUSD to run their state after school program (ASES) in 4 elementary schools. http://www.slzusd.org/

City of San Leandro
The City of San Leandro was incorporated in 1872 and has a current population of 79,000. The City has long leased our pool for use by adults and youth in the community. The City also provides us with janitorial and landscaping services.

Alameda County
Alameda County was incorporated in 1853 and has a current population of 1.4 million. Their budget is $2.4 billion and they have 9,100 employees. We have worked with a number of County departments including Board of Supervisors, Public Health and the Sheriff's Department.

Alameda County Department of Education
The Alameda County Department of Education oversees seventeen K-12 school districts and one K-8 district in Alameda County. In all, there are approximately 10,000 teachers serving 225,000 students. We work with ACOE on nutrition and gardening programs.

OJJDP
Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, a component of the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice, accomplishes its mission by supporting states, local communities, and tribal jurisdictions in their efforts to develop and implement effective programs for juveniles. Our Club receives mentoring funds from OJJDP in a pass through grant from BGCA.
